Artwork: Landscapes of Oblivion
I went on a quest following memory. During my work I realized that I’m not seeking any specific memory but rather the broader, more abstract concept of memory.
Out of digging through the old photographs in family albums, out of this rummaging through what was – I am choosing the process of abstraction.
The ink in assimilated in plaster, the memory is assimilated in us.
Positioning: regarding Storage.
The Pieces are leaning on the wall, leaning on each other. Seemingly deserted, seemingly stored, waiting…
Time takes its course, layers upon layers of memories are waiting to be accessed.
