"Optic Nerve" deals with the area where an image is perceived by the eye and transforms into information. It is a critical point, in which the images become the components of one's identity and memory. This database is based on prior knowledge and not on the actual experiences, it is not permanent nor consistent;

The memory controls the capturing and processing of the images, but it is also under the mercy of the constantly changing consciousness and identity.

It is a vicious circle: Capturing an image,

Processing dictated by the identity,

Identity formed by the memory-

Which influences the capturing and processing.

This project is "longing to the most innocent memory, a moment before it was corrupted by wisdom."

(Meir Agassi on Vermeer).
