Rita GT work intents essentially to reflect on the notion of identity, boundaries, colonialism, decolonisation, and the differences between cultures, gender or the Eurocentric and occidental definition of the history of art and men kind.

Using a contemporary language, the artist's main medium is performance co-existing with painting, video and installation.

She is interested in re-think the history of the cultural fusions and legacy made by the colonialism times and translate that research into an art practise that can be integrated in the post-colonial studies.
