“It was an unpleasant feeling – gaining weight once I stopped swimming… It felt as if I were trapped in a larger body. Finally I realized that in order to chance this state I must except by body as is.
The photographs presented are a small collection of the archive of photos I had assembled during the period of my weight loss, during the past two years.
On the one hand, my project raises questions regarding the affect of time on us, imperfect humans craving perfection, and on the other, the project exposes the obsession and intensity that accompany weight loss.”
