Identity. Who determines our identity? And is it decisive or changeable?
In the last few years of his life, my grandfather suffered from Dementia.
Confused and weak, his identity was no longer up to him only, but in the hands of those who loved and cherished him throughout his life. My work is dedicated to the way my grandmother preserved my grandfather's identity and insisted on seeing him as a pioneer, father and grandfather, until his very last day.
The attempt to turn a temporary and passing memory into something permanent, is portrayed in this work.
