In this series of portraits, I have set a goal to see how that new self looks like, where the source is only the ”digital” screen light and its luminance. For that I took a group of artists friends from various fields and lit them with a computer screen light, where on each one shinessomething from their virtual world.

And so, creating a new representation of them that demonstrates the journey of the self, using the esthetics and method that relates to the pre-screen world.
by using paint as the medium I eliminated the ease of the photograph and tried to evoke the sensation of the urgency of paint application, tactility and texture.
The representation hence is going back and forth, or exists on a thin line between the old and the new.
