Maor Michaelova

Painter, photographer, and designer

Education: Fine arts, Bezalel, Jerusalem

Danalogue 2016

Artwork: The evil eyes 666; 50 * 35; Ink on paper, dotworkink (black work), 2016.

My artistic language tries to examine reality in surrealistic, abstract, delusional and critical ways.

My painting stretches the boundaries of conventional aesthetics, and creates an atmosphere/feeling of "the unknown" along with use of color and complex symbolism.

In my work I try to connect the ancient history with the modern. My paintings engage superstition, evil eye, possessed demons and ghosts.

Untitled, Acrylic on canvas, 180 * 120, New Surrealism, 2016. It depicts the process of "birth" occurring in a parallel universe.
