We could say that our identity is how we perceive ourselves in relation to personality traits, experiences and our individual memories. Throughout our life we undergo through formative experiences throughout different periods while our Identity continues to shape, collect and peel different characteristics along the way. Sleep, as a place that is neutralized of any boundaries or rules, allows us to connect to our consciousness and know the parts that make up our identity firsthand. In this state we are 'ourselves' in the most honest and genuine form.
